Locating where to install ballast pumps and drill thru-hulls

In the 5th Episode of our 2006 Mastercraft Maristar 215V build we will be starting the ballast system, installing the thru hulls and ballast pumps.

We start this video by finding great locations to drill our thru hulls, drilling, and getting our 3 thru hulls necessary mounted. 

We then work on installing the Jabsco Ballast Pumps and discuss how to find good areas to mount them. 

What you will need:

Tools

• Power drill
• Drill Bits
• Hole saw kit
• Flat screwdriver
• Heat gun
• Wire Stripper

Materials

• Blue Sea fuse box
• 3x 30 amp blade fuse
• Hose clamps
• On/Off toggle switch
• Ballast pump
• 1 in. hose
• Check valve
